My accomplishments are driven by building a highly skilled and motivated team, a solid global valuable network and ensuring our clients receive the best possible service, particularly following claims that are handled fairly and effectively. I founded Lex in 2012 in Malta and have carefully built the expert team and networks into the Group it is today where we, as your Trusted Advisor, are driving change as an industry leader in the ESG and Net Zero insurance world.

David McKibbin

I have 35 years insurance and reinsurance experience as an energy, mining and industrial underwriter and senior executive, multinational risk manager in the corporate sector and award-winning business owner. I understand clients need financial certainty. Something the insurance market singularly fails to deliver. My deep knowledge of risk and insurance-related issues within corporate finance gives me a unique insight into the challenges companies face to reduce their costs and also strengthen their balance sheets in an increasingly hostile trading and financial environment.

Steve Taylor

I have worked in the Lloyd’s and London Market for over 25 years, having worked for small boutique operations, national groups and large internationals, the most recent being A J Gallagher. I have gathered experience in multiple lines of insurance, with specialisms in Construction, Property, Sports Personal Accident and Global Programs. I joined The Lex Group in 2016 and now operate over all divisions as Broking Director, utilising my wide understanding of the market and relationships with the key Underwriters of the Industry.

I have 30 years’ experience in the insurance Industry, focused on creating teams with passion and focus. Head of Commercial, General Insurance, Head of Compliance, Insurance Institute of Ireland, CIP. I am passionate in bringing Insurance solutions to our clients. I am a passionate sports person with a love of golf, hockey and badminton. Prior to joining Le Cheile and The Lex Group, I was the General Manager of Close Premium Finance and Director of General Services at the IBA. I ama keen golfer. Aoife and I have four children, Aaron, Adam, Lauren and Zac.

Daniel English

I have over 13 years of experience in the Insurance industry. I specialize in new business development while maintaining strong, long-term relationships with existing clients. My expertise spans all types of commercial business insurance and also high-net-worth insurance. I am the number 1 supercar insurance broker in Ireland. My client-first approach, deep industry knowledge, and commitment to tailored coverage solutions allow me to consistently deliver value and protection for complex insurance needs.
Outside of my professional career, I am a dedicated football coach and holds a UEFA A Licence, reflecting my leadership, discipline, and commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

Nathan Matthews

I am Certified Insurance Practitioner with over 11 years’ experience in in the insurance industry. I have significant experience dealing with clients in sectors such as Sport & Leisure, Hospitality, Construction, National Governing Bodies, Entertainment and Events and also has experience managing a large team that handled SME risks in a large corporate brokers in Dublin. I started my career in insurance after obtaining a Bachelors Honours Degree in Accounting from the National College of Ireland back in 2015. Outside of the office, I like to stay active by going to the gym and playing golf. I also have a season ticket for Rayo Vallecano in Madrid.

Neil Coxon

With a career spanning the marine industry, including time as a member of the British Sailing Team, my expertise is firmly rooted in the marine sector. I am responsible for managing and developing key client relationships, as well as driving new business growth through the company’s strong reputation in this market.

I also bring extensive experience in the Middle East, having spent over a decade working in Oman as a Commercial Director, where I developed deep regional insight and long-standing commercial relationships.
